Voyager 1 & Voyager 2 🌌✨

Traveling Through Space: Our Representatives

A story of a time when humanity was determined to uncover the unknown mysteries of space. In that pursuit, in 1977, NASA launched two spacecraft—Voyager 1 and Voyager 2. Their mission was to collect information about the giant planets of our solar system and, if possible, travel even further.

Voyager 1: At the Edge of Space

Voyager 1 first collected data on Jupiter and Saturn. Later, it crossed the boundary of the solar system and entered interstellar space in 2012. Currently, it is about 15.4 billion miles away from Earth. Recently, in October 2024, communication issues arose with Voyager 1. However, NASA scientists were able to re-establish contact by reactivating a radio transmitter that had been unused since 1981.

Voyager 2: The Unique Explorer

Voyager 2 is the only spacecraft to have flown past Uranus and Neptune, gathering data on these planets. It entered interstellar space in 2018. Currently, Voyager 2 is about 140.32 Astronomical Units (AU) from Earth, approximately 13 billion miles away.

The Golden Record: Earth's Message

Both Voyager spacecraft carry a "Golden Record". This record contains greetings in various Earth languages, music, natural sounds, and images. The goal was that if an intelligent extraterrestrial civilization ever found these spacecraft, they would get a glimpse of our culture and civilization. This record also includes a greeting in Bengali, which says: "Greetings and love."

Our Ambassadors

Voyager 1 and 2 are not just machines; they symbolize our curiosity, thirst for knowledge, and desire to understand the unknown. They continue their journey through the vastness of space, carrying our messages and culture, perhaps one day reaching a distant civilization.
